CHARLES P. O’BRIEN is an associate at the Wilmington law firm of Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A.  Chip received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware, majoring in both finance and operational management.  He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Justinian Honorary Law Society.

Chip’s practice involves various aspects of estate planning and Delaware trust law, including directed trusts, dynasty trusts, asset protection trusts, the transfer of situs and reformation of trusts and all aspects of the validity, construction and administration of Delaware trusts.  Chip’s practice also focuses on various areas of real estate law, including residential and commercial transactions, leases and land development and approvals.

Prior to joining GF&M, Chip served as law clerk to the Honorable William L. Witham, Jr. of the Delaware Superior Court.  In addition, Chip has extensive experience in transactional matters involving Delaware statutory trusts and other alternative entities, including the representation of banks and trust companies involved in asset securitizations, real estate financings and structured finance transactions.

Chip resides in Wilmington, Delaware with his wife, Jen.
