CHARLES P. O’BRIEN is a Director at the Wilmington law firm of Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. Chip’s practice emphasizes the handling of complex commercial real estate transactions and the representation of financial institutions involving commercial mortgage loans and asset-based lending.  Chip’s practice also involves commercial leasing transactions representing landlords and tenants, land development and approvals, business law, commercial law, entity formation and governance and opinion letters.

Chip has extensive experience in transactional matters involving Delaware statutory trusts and other alternative entities, including opinion work and the representation of banks and trust companies involved in asset securitizations, real estate financings and structured finance transactions.

Chip received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware, majoring in both finance and operational management.  He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Justinian Honorary Law Society.  Chip served as law clerk to the Honorable William L. Witham, Jr. of the Delaware Superior Court following graduation from Syracuse. 

Chip resides in Hockessin, Delaware with his wife, Jen, and their children, Owen and Olive.
