Our Areas of Practice

Since our earliest days advising our local Delaware community, we have significantly grown our services and our firm. Now, we are proud to help corporations and trusts from around the country and the world make their home in Delaware. We are equally proud that we continue to serve the families and businesses of Delaware.

Our attorneys provide a wide variety of services from personal estate planning and administration to corporate taxation and transactions, and complex commercial and fiduciary litigation. We advise high net worth individuals, inter-generational family businesses, multijurisdictional trusts and international corporations, and represent over 200 corporate entities as their Delaware general counsel. Detailed information on all of the services that our attorneys provide is available on our individual practice area pages.

Just as life and business do not exist in independent silos, neither do our attorneys. We work closely together across practice groups in support of our clients and their goals. Our collegial approach benefits our clients and makes our team stronger. Many of our attorney and non-attorney staff have been part of GF&M for decades, building relationships of trust with each other and with our clients. Multiple generations of families and businesses have chosen GF&M, relying on us time and time again for accurate and comprehensive advice. Even other law firms routinely recommend us to their clients.

Ultimately, we know that our success at GF&M is rooted in the integrity, dedication, and exceptional skills of the people that make up our firm. We are trusted advisors of our clients, with ethical, legal, and fiduciary obligations, and we expect the highest standards of professionalism from all of our staff and attorneys. Whether a multinational corporation or a local Delaware family, at GF&M, each and every client is given the same attention, respect, and top-notch legal advice.

Our Historic Building

Our Wilmington, Delaware law offices have a history as rich as our firm. The building dates back to 1816, when it housed the National Bank of Delaware and was situated at the corner of Sixth and Market in downtown Wilmington. Brick by brick, this historic building was moved in 1931 to its current location at Lovering Avenue, and later became the long-term home of the Delaware Academy of Medicine. In 2002, GF&M purchased the building and lovingly renovated and restored it to preserve its historical value and transform it into the offices of Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. In 2003, our building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Department of the Interior.
